Long Beach Tournament Invite for Saturday the 19th... of May

This upcoming Saturday... we crack the 70's! Perfect beach volleyball weather.

I'll get right to it... other than Rick, who is getting married in France this weekend, who wants to play? Who can bring a net? To sign up, all you have to do is click on the "comments" and give me your name... favorite ice cream... and best tale about creative use of pudding.

Recap from last week's tournament will be posted shortly.

Any pre-tournament victory predictions?

I'm in. I'm also really interested in last week's recap. It must have been a shot tourney, and I must have kicked ass, because I don't remember a thing about it.

I'm in.

Rick's ex (Tammy) and her friend (Andi) will be in France as they watch Rick marry the girl he left Tammy for...at least that's what she sez :) Our crowd still isn't too old to have some drama.

Screw volleyball... I'm going to France to see what happens next...

Rick's version is that he left Tammy for another women due to Tammy's lack of respect to airline regulations by always refusing to buckle her seat belt. I believe him.

I don't know who Tammy is, but my money is on her!

Go Sweetie!!!!!! You ROCK that wedding!!!!!!!

I think a website that is the chronicle of the Rick and Tammy wedding saga/adventure is in order.

Pudding Shaving.....Romeo?
Chocolate or Vanilla?

Maybe I will wear pudding to the wedding.

It would be more than I was wearing in Clearwater. Pictures to follow.

For Pudding Shaving or the Tournament?

I'd be worried if Tammu were going anywhere but France, but the French Army will probably surrender.

Actually Tammy's problem has been refusing to keep her pants buckled.

steve and i are playing, Carla Miami

Tammy is always at her best with her pants unbuckled. However, the French Legionaires have been alerted and are prepared for this invasion from South Jersey.

Further, I've been practicing left handed duct tape application and am now armed with a super secret pudding hardening agent. So I'm confident that the weekend will work out without major distraction.
Yet, keep tuned to FOX News for any "breaking news from the south of France", just in case...(the last time I travelled with Tammy, a virtual riot broke out in the little Caymen Island town that we were visiting...NO kidding ..and Tam was the protagonist...and that's on top of the island-wide rescue that had to be organized for one of our drinking buddies...but you've all heard those stories).

well folks-- I am new to this little blog-

So I can only assume there is some informal welcoming group...

But here is my 411:

I play some pretty decent volleyball---

my favorite ice cream is Ben and Jerry's Caramel Sutra (if only for the sexual reference)-

I once was in a chocolate pudding wrestling competition with the rest of the lovely ladies on my college volleyball team... it was for charity!! really!

If there is a tourney this weekend-- i'll be there in bells and whistles --and a little southern twang (I'm from Texas)..

and last (but certainly not least)-- I am a little lost on this France wedding banter-- but I did live in Paris for a year--

my only advice on this little adventure of yours-- just don't tell the French if you are Texan... cause that is just really getting off on the wrong foot...

Where excatly on LB does this tourney take place? what time do I need to show up?m - sorry for the questions-- I am a newbie!!

Cheers-

Thanks to Gus, who volunteered to bring net to France to make sure Tammy doesn't interefere with the wedding festivities. The UN salutes this peacekeeping mission.

In for Saturday with a net. - Zak

Did anyone check the weather for Saturday?? Rain, 15 mph winds with gusts to 30, and 62 degrees. I gonna have to pass on this on. Have fun.

Matt said...

Yeah, I don't usually put too much stock in the weather report outside of 24 hours, especially for the beach. Let's keep an eye on that, though. Maybe everybody should check the blog first-thing Saturday morning, see if we're still on?
